Record One — Bloodline

Genealogy

The family's bloodline runs through two threads that meet in 1861: the Schmidt line, crossing from London to Kittery, Maine, and the Dudley line, rooted in York County since before the Revolution. From there it branches further — into the Oswald, Bowland, and Seitzberg lines that married in over the generations that followed. The tree below shows where Schmidt and Dudley meet; each branch has its own page below, and the family's military service is gathered separately on Those Who Served.

Those Who Served

Seven veterans · four wars · four generations

Military service doesn't respect bloodlines, so it gets its own page rather than being split across each one. It now covers seven confirmed veterans across four wars, from Aaron Booker of the Dudley line in the Revolution through the Civil War, the Spanish-American War, and World War II — spanning the Schmidt, Dudley, Bowland, and Seitzberg lines.
