The Booker Line

The Booker family of York County, Maine — Aaron Booker, a Revolutionary War patriot, and his descendant Dorcas Booker. Through Dorcas, the Booker line runs forward into the Voudy family and on into the Dudley line and Mary Catherine Dudley, whose own ancestry is on the Dudley Line. Confirmed through the 1850 census and a DAR application (Beatrice Wayland Smith/English, National No. 150069), which traces the Booker line back to Aaron Booker's Revolutionary War service. This is the earliest confirmed ancestor on Mary's side of the family.

The candidates are c. 1780 (DAR application) and c. 1786 (census/FamilySearch); the c. 1796 figure has been ruled out — it would make her about seven at her 1803 marriage. The c. 1780 date is currently treated as most likely.
